STREETS OF HANOI

Hanoi, caught between memory and momentum. This series captures the quiet tension of a city transforming. Markets, bird sellers, fishmongers — fragments of an older Hanoi — linger in shadow, framed by the slow encroachment of modernity. Shot entirely in cinemascope (2.35:1), the format became a way to stretch time, to hold space for things on the verge of disappearing.

The wide frame allowed me to observe without rushing — to center tradition while the future crept in at the edges. Each image is a moment suspended: not nostalgic, but alert. A document of what still exists, for now.
